Collector prepares reports on development works
Thuraiyur, Tamil Nadu, May 8 (UNI) The Tiruchirapalli District Administration has prepared a detailed reports for undetaking 20,000 developmental works at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore during the current fiscal,according to District Collector T Soundiah.
Addressing a press conference soon after inspecting the ongoing development works under the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department's infrastructure improvement scheme at tourist spots at Puliancholai the foothills of Pachamalai, near here, yesterday, the Collector said during 2007-08, the government allotted Rs 125.30 crore for undertaking 18,217 developmental works of which 17,650 works had been completed at a cost of Rs 87.20 crore, in different parts of the Tiruchirapalli district.
The remaining works were also nearing completion, he added.
