Govt will provide employment to all: YSR
Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, May 8 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said his Government was taking steps to provide employment opportunities to all by inviting investments in the industrial sector in the State.
Speaking at a public meeting after laying the foundation stone for Caparo Industrial Park at Menakur village of Naidupeta mandal in this district, Dr Reddy said industrial revolution was taking place in the State for the last four years as the State had become a hot spot for investors, particularly in Nellore district.
Stating that the Government was providing all assistance to the investors, who came forward to set up industries in the State, he said the State would attain number one position in attracting investments in the near future.
Observing that his Government was implementing several welfare programmes, including pension to the elderly and widows and Rs two per Kg rice scheme, which was not included in the Congress election manifesto in 2004 elections, the Chief Minister said the Arogya Sri scheme was providing free medical treatment to the poor, who were suffering from heart, brain and other acute health problems, since last year in most of the districts.
