Chennai, May 7 (UNI) Trane, a leading provider of energy efficient and environmentally responsible building management and indoor comfort system, today announced the launch of its first Design Centre in the country in Chennai.
The centre would support the Indian market and would be a global R and D facility for Trane controls. It would also have a state-of-the-art validation and verification capabilities.
The design centre, located in Ascendas IT Park would initially focus on controls embedded and application software engineering skills, Company Vice President, Global Engineering and Technology, Prakash Bedapudi told newspersons here.
"Being located in a region with a large supply of engineering talent, the centre can help accelerate new feature additions to the existing products and reduce the time needed for new product introductions. In addition, it can help the company rapidly adapt its products to the demands of the dynamic, fast growing and emerging markets," he added.
The company was closely associated with various development programmes and integrated seamlessly with other engineering centres.
''It is expected to exchange knowledge, expertise and best practices with Trane's design centres in Epinal (France), Shanghai (China) St Paul (Minnesota), La Crosse, Wisconsin, Tyler, Texas and Clarksville in the United States," he claimed.
