RBI's Board of Governors to meet in Shillong
Shillong, May 7 (UNI) The Board of Governors of the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) will meet here tomorrow to discuss about the high inflation rate in the country, Meghalaya Chief Secretary Ranjan Chattcharjee said today.
Apart from the burning issue, the RBI's Board of Governors would also discuss issues pertaining to credit for SMEs, small-scale projects, the agriculture sector and self-help groups in Meghalaya.
The meeting assumed significance in the backdrop of international crude oil prices crossing 0 a barrel and inflation crossing the 7.5 per cent.
RBI Governor Y V Reddy and Deputy Governor Rakesh Mohan are also expected to discuss the impact of recent policy measures announced by the central bank.
