Nuke Deal: PM hopes good sense will prevail upon Left
New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expressed the hope that ''good sense'' will prevail upon the Left parties so that the civilian nuclear deal with the US sees the light of the day.
Expressing optimism over the deal, the Prime Minister said as long as the discussions were on he was hopeful.
''So long as the discussions are on, I am hopeful,'' he told reporters after the Defence investiture ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here this evening.
Referring to discussions with the Left parties over the nuclear deal, the Prime Minister said: ''We hope good sense will prevail.'' However, Dr Singh said he could only hope that the deal would past muster the discussion stage.
