KPCC complains of manufacture of fake voters cards
Bangalore, May 7 (UNI) The Congress today urged the Election Commission to set up special police teams to curb manufacturing and use of bogus fake voters ID cards in the state.
in a letter to the Election Commission Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge, said his party had expresses serious concern over the recent incident of manufacturing of counterfeit fake cards by BJP workers in the city and had urged the EC to take suitable action to safeguard the sanctity of the election process.
Claiming that the problesm of bugus voters cards had now turned into criminal counterfeit activity, he said ''it is not merely a criminal act by activists of a political party. But it is also a deliberate attempt to derail the election process and poison the very roots of the democracy for selfish intentions,'' he charged.
