Mumbai, May 7 (UNI) Jet Airways today launched a new daily flight from Mumbai to Bangkok, in addition to daily services from New Delhi and Kolkata.
Boeing 737-800 of the airlines took off from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (9W 62) at 0110 hrs and landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok at 0650 hrs. The return leg (9W 61) departed from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport at 0840 hrs and landed in Mumbai at 1145 hrs.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Jet Airways CEO Wolfgang Prock Scheuer said the Mumbai-Bangkok flights have been added considering the popularity of the Delhi and Kolkata flights.
Mr Scheuer said the airlines would oppose the three per cent hike in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).
The rise in global petrol prices had cost the aviation industry 700 million dollars.
Jet Airways is currently operating in 50 domestic and 17 international destinations, he said.
