Jammu, May 7: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) chairman Prof. Bhim Singh today urged UPA chairperson and All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi to dissolve Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC).
''Let each Congress leader contest the forthcoming polls on his own as it is the only way for cleansing the Congress in the state,'' the JKNPP chairman told Ms Sonia in a statement issued here.
''Most of the leadership in the JKPCC was a creation of the anti-national political agenda of the National Conference and it has engaged local leadership in loot and corruption, least caring for the aspirations and political agenda of the people of the different regions of the State,'' Prof. Singh alleged.
The JKNPP Chairman also demanded resignation of the Speaker Tara Chand and former PCC president Peerzada Mohd. Sayeed from the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, for fair and independent inquiry into the Srinagar Sex Scandal in which they were allegedly involved.
MP Madan Lal Sharma during a public rally on May 5 at Khour in tehsil Akhnoor disclosed that both Chand and Sayeed were allegedly involved in the sex scandal but had been saved by Ms Gandhi and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on his request.
