MP Cong to form government with collective efforts of party workers
Jabalpur, May 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress Election Committee President Ajay Singh today claimed that the party would form the government after the next assembly polls with collective efforts of party workers.
Talking to reporters after meeting of election campaign committee's Jabalpur division here, Mr Singh said the BJP came to power on the plank of fighting fear, hunger and corruption (Bhay, bhook aur bhrashtachar) and power, road and water (bijli, sadak aur pani). However, it had neglected the poor during its four-year rule.
He alleged that the state government was misusing central funds.
Corruption was rampant and BJP leaders were involved in creating scams. People were fed up due to shortage of water and power, and poor condition of roads.
Mr Singh said the Congress was launching a public campaign to uproot the BJP, adding that several irregularities had been detected in electoral rolls.
The political and economic resolution presented during the meeting hailed the decision of the Centre to waive Rs 60,000 crore loan of small peasants.
