Colorplus looks at 20% growth in FY09

New Delhi, May 6(UNI) Casual wear maker ColorPlus today said it expects to grow 20 per cent this year.

''We expect to have growth figures similar to last year at about 20 per cent,'' company COO Vineesh Chadha told reporters here.

The company launched its 'Xnovation' range of premium cotton clothing for men in partnership with Dow Fiber Solutions here.

''In the context of today's fitted&slimmer silhouettes for men and women, the need for comfort stretch as stress points was desired. We scanned the latest breakthrough technologies from all over the world and decided to partner with XLA,'' Mr Chadha said The company plans to bring out a women's range with the same fabric.

The collection launched today offers non-iron shirts, mercerized knit polo's, Chino trousers, suits and innerwear for men and begins at a price point of Rs 1,400.

''The clothes have been priced higher by 5-7 per cent, which is not a big difference looking at the material,'' Mr Chadha said.

XLA is the world's first olefin-based revolutionary fibre from the stable of Dow Fiber Solutions. XLA fiber has comfort stretch properties that can withstand very high temperatures of up to 180 degree celsius.

The premium clothing segment is growing by 14-15 per cent.
