Ahmedabad, May 5 (UNI) Narco tests on two suspended IPS officers-- Deputy Inspector General of Police D G Vanzara and Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Pandian, accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, have been postponed and new dates will soon be announced.
Though an official announcement about the postponement is yet to be made, sources in the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), where the tests were scheduled to take place, said the reason for the postponement has not yet been confirmed.
A city court last week had granted permission for conducting narco tests on the police officers at the FSL in Gandhingar.
Sohrabuddin was allegedly killed in a fake encounter on the city outskirts in November 2005. His wife, Kausarbi, was also later allegedly murdered and her body disposed off.
As many as thirteen policemen were arrested for their alleged involvement in staging the fake encounter of Sohrabuddin and killing of his wife.
