Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in the East Godavari, Guntur, Prakasam and Krishna Districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, according to the weather office here today.
Except for very light rainfall at Kakinada off East Godavari District, weather had remained dry over the state.
The maximum temperature fell at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little over Telangana and Rayalaseema.
They were significantly above normal in the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and above normal at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema.
The highest maximum temperature of 45 Degree Celsius was recorded at Rentachintala.
Severe heat wave conditions would continue in East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam and Nellore Districts during the next 48 hours.
A report from Visakhapatnam said severe heat wave conditions were continuing for the last four days.
According to the Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC), the temperatures dipped by around four Degree Celsius and indications were there would be further fall in the next two or three days.The maximum temperature recorded here was 37 Degree Celsius.
