Kolhapur, May 4 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee(MPCC) chief Prabha Rao today said state Revenue Minister Narayan Rane would not resign his ministership.
Talking to reporters here Ms Rao said she talked to Mr Rane yesterday and he was not dissatisfied over any matter.
To a question that Mr Rane was assured of Chief Ministership within the six months of joining the Congress and still that promise not being fulfilled, Ms Rao said she was unaware of such assurance.
''Wait and watch was not mentioned by Mr Rane but by media,'' she said pointing out that her duty was to sort out any difference among the party members.
Ms Rao also defied reports that she had ever said that the NCP should merge with the Congress.
Subhash Gangane's defeat in recently held state Legislative Parishad was sad and those involved in cross voting had been identified and its report had been sent to the party high command, she said.
