London, May 5 : Though 'Eastenders' scooped Best Soap gong at the British Soap Awards, it was 'Hollyoaks' that led the way at the awards ceremony in London, bagging six prizes.
The Channel 4 teenage drama took away Best Actor and Actress awards, as well as gongs for Sexiest Female, Best Exit and Spectacular Scene Of The Year award, reports The Sun.
Chris Fountain, who plays Justin Burton, bagged the award for Best Actor while Best Actress Award was collected by Emma Rigby who plays Hannah Ashworth.
Roxanne McKee, who won the Sexiest Female award, said the show was finally getting the recognition it deserved.
'Coronation Street' won five prizes, which included one special achievement award for retired Vera Duckworth actress Liz Dawn.
While accepting her award, she said: "I wish I was young again, I could do it all over again. It's only when you leave that you realise what a lovely life you've had. It's been fantastic."
