Four from a single family killed in car-bus collision
Kolar, Karnataka, May 5 (UNI) Four persons of a family, including two woman and a 18-month-old child, were killed on the spot when the car in which they were traveling collided head-on with a APSRTC bus on the outskirts of the town today.
Kolar rural police said the accident occurred when the bus driver tried to overtake a two wheeler and rammed into the car which was coming from the opposite direction near Kumbarahalli gate on National Highway Four.
The dead who were traveling from Bangalore to Mulbagal were identified as Tanush (18 months), Shobha (30), Vijaya (58) and Lokesh (35).
Following the accident the vehicular traffic on the busy Bangalore-Chennai was affected for more than three hours and thousands of vehicles were stranded on either side of the highway.
