Former Arunachal Pradesh minister passes away
Itanagar, May 5 (UNI) Former Arunachal Pradesh Minister Tingpong Wangham passed away last evening at Shillong where he was undergoing treatment after suffering a brain haemorrhage recently.
He was 55. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Born in 1953 at Rusa village in Tirap district, Wangham was elected to the second Legislative Assembly in March, 1995 and re-elected to the third Legislative Assembly in October, 1999.
He held various portfolios in both the Gegong Apang and Mukut Mithi Ministries and served as Minister for Rural Works Department (RWD), Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Water Supply, Relief and Rehabilitation departments.
He also held the post of the Deputy Chairman of state Planning Board.
