Over Rs 600 lakh for Yamunanagar distt development
Chandigarh, May 4 (UNI) An amount of Rs 628 lakh has been allocated under District Plan for district Yamunanagar for the year 2008-09.
While giving this information, an official spokesman said that the rural and urban share of the District Plan would be of Rs 439.60 lakh and Rs 188.40 lakh respectively, whereas Scheduled Castes share for rural area would be Rs 117.60 lakh. He informed that a sum of Rs .50.40 lakh would be spent on the welfare of urban scheduled castes.
He revealed that during the current financial year, an amount of Rs 22.85 lakh would be spent on education sector whereas a sum of Rs 5 lakh had been earmarked for promotion of ITIs. For construction and repair of roads and streets in rural area in the district, an amount of Rs 115.39 lakh would be incurred whereas a sum of Rs 90.62 lakh would be spent on roads and streets in urban areas.
Enumerating the district plan, he informed that an amount of Rs 29.08 lakh would be spent on Health sector while Rs 45.42 lakh on electricity. For construction and repair work of Chaupals, Community Centers and Anganwadi building, a sum of Rs 92.57 lakh would be spent during the current financial year, he added.
He said that an amount of Rs 12 lakh had been earmarked for sports, whereas a sum of Rs 40.87 lakh would be incurred on transport during the year 2008-09.
He informed that an amount of Rs 62.77 lakh had been earmarked for the forest sector. For shifting of dairies and slaughter houses and solid waste management, an amount of Rs 63.98 lakh had been earmarked .
