Marathi newsreader in AIR Duttatray Kulkarni dies
New Delhi, May 4 (UNI) Former All India Radio newsreader Duttatray Ramchandra Kulkarni died here today after a prolonged illness.
He was 82 and is survived by his son and daughter.
Popular among listners of the All India Radio, especially the Marathi listeners as the Marathi newsreader Dutta Kulkarni, Duttatray Ramchandra served for 30 long years as the head of the Marathi division in AIR.
After retiring from Akashwani 23 years ago, Kulkarni served as the Delhi representative of some Maharashtra-based newspapers.
Mr Kulkarni was cremated at the Sarai Kale Khan crematorium today with a large number of people associated with Akashwani and Marathi newspapers present.
