Mohali, May 4: Despite losing four matches in a row in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Sourav Ganguly feels his side is still in the running for a semi-final berth.
''We are a good side. We are not out of the competition. You never know in cricket,'' Ganguly told mediapersons after losing against Kings XI Punjab here yesterday. ''We still have five more games and most of them are on home turf.'' Blaming ''missed chances'' for the defeat, the Bengal southpaw said his team failed to keep up the momentum, which allowed the opposition to gain the upper hand.
''Our fourth straight loss in the tournament was owing to missed chances. We lost the game in a certain situation,'' Ganguly explained.
''We dropped a crucial catch, gave away over 20 runs in the last over, lost five early wickets and allowed them to pile up 178 runs after losing five wickets for just over 100 runs,'' he added.
