Ambani family offers prayers to deity at Tirumala
Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, May 4 (UNI) Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani today offered prayers, along with his family, at the Sri Venkateswara Temple here.
Mr Ambani, who arrived along with his wife Nita Ambani and children at the Renigunta Airport by his own flight, reached here last night by road in connection with the opening of the RIL's guest house built at a cost of Rs seven crore and stayed overnight at the hill top.
After a brief religious ceremony in the afternoon, the RIL Chairman handed over the keys of the guest house to the TTD Special Officer A V Dharma Reddy.
This is the second guest house he handed over to the TTD. In May last year, Mr Ambani handed over the keys of a Rs four crore building to TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy.
Earlier, RIL Chairman and his family members participated in the ''Suprabhatham Seva'' in the early hours of today. He stood in front of the imposing deity for about ten minutes.
During his visit, Mr Ambani said he was donating four huge digital screens costing an esimated Rs five crore, to the TTD for helping devotees to view Brahmotsavams and the rituals performed inside the temple, Mr Dharma Reddy said.
Mr Ambani also said he would extend any help to the TTD in taking up various activities for the benefit of the pilgrims, Mr Reddy added.
Later, the Ambani family motored down to Reniguta Airport from where they left for Mumbai by flight.
