Bangalore, May 3: Janata Dal (S) Secretary General Danish Ali today alleged that Congress and BJP were working intensely to usher in ''a two party political system'' to get rid of coalition governments in the country.
Mr Ali alleged at a news conference here that both the parties were working overtime to introduce the bi-polar system by wiping out JD (S).
''The two-party system is dengerous for India and would not fulfill the regional aspirations,'' he said.
He said neither Congress nor BJP could be called national parties as their rule was limited to some states only.
The party's manifesto for the coming assembly polls would be released tomorrow, he said.
