Mumbai, May 3: Underworld don Abu Salem today underwent a medical check up at the J J Hospital here today following TADA court's order.
It was for the first time that Salem was moved out of the jail, after the State Government's notification on February 23 to the jail authority that Salem should not be moved out as his life was in danger.
Salem's advocate Raja Thakur said, despite Government's notification, the TADA court has passed an order to take Salem to the Hospital as he was unwell and uncomfortable while sitting in the court during trial.

Meanwhile, Salem had challenged the notification in the Bombay High Court. On which Government had filed an affidavite in the court on April 29, stating that Dawood and his brother have been entrusted to kill Salem when he was en route to court.
