Raj continues his tirade against north Indians

Mumbai, May 3 (UNI) Continuing his diatribe against the influx of north Indians in Mumbai, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray today said he would not tolerate 'dadagiri' of any outsider in his State.

''If the people from UP and Bihar would come here and start their 'dadagiri', he would not deter from asking them to get out of the State,'' he thundered wlile delivering a speech in Shivaji Park.

Not only the use of Marathi should get 100 per cent acceptance but the young boys here should get also 100 per cent jobs every where in the State, Mr Thackeray said.

Speaking for the first time after the ban on his speech was lifted last month, Mr Thackeray reiterated all his statements on February 2 led to his arrest and created much hue and cry in the country against him.

The massive crowd, which Mr Tahckeray succeeded in attracting at the sprawling Shivaji Park, cheered the young leader in his 40s whenever he uttered anything against the north Indians and in favour of jobs for Marathi people.

The estranged nephew of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray questioned that what wrong he had spoken about the superstar of millennium who preferred to contest his first election in UP and even constructed a school in the name of his daughter-in-law there.

''If such a great star can have love for his State then why not a small person like me should have love for Maharashtra,'' he said.

Targetting the north Indian leaders including Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav, Amar Singh, Abu Asim Azmi, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, he said,'' No day of any State would be celebrated here except the Maharashtra day.'' ''I am ready to be arrested for making this statement,'' Mr Thackeray said, who was earlier arrested in February for making provocative statements.

''The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation having 227 members, have 24 outsiders who are continuing to spread their tentacles,'' he added.

''If the leaders from UP would distribute lathis (sticks) I would distribute swords all over the State,'' he thundered.

He also warned the north Indian leaders that bad words against the Maharashtrian leaders would not be tolerated.

Mr Thackeray's speech was just the carbon copy of the speech style of his illustrious uncle Shiv Sena chief, Bal Thackeray.

It was full of potshots.

He also gave quotes from architect of the Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar, who had expressed doubts whether south India would tolerate the attack of north Indians. He also quoted Dr Ambedkar who had said that Kolkata and Chennai are also cosmopolitan cities like Mumbai.

Mr Thackeray also read out a statement of Union Health Minister A Ramadoss, who had said no non Tamil should become the chief minister obviously referring to Maharashtrian born Tamil superstar Rajnikant.

''Ramadoss is the Union Minister why no action is taken against him by the leaders in the Centre for such a statement,'' he asked.

Most of the south Indian Presidents of the country preferred to deliver their speeches in English and not in Hindi, he argued.

While Bal Thackeray is referred as 'Hindu hridaya samrat (emperor of Hindu hearts), today Raj was described as 'Marathi hridayasamrat' (emperfor Marathi hearts) for his campaign favouring Maharashtrians.
