Raipur, May 3 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Revenue Minister Brijmohan Agrawal today stoutly denied that the government had issued any order prohibiting outsiders over purchasing land in this state.
Reacting to media queries over a report published in local newspaper here, Mr Agrawal said that state government was well aware of its constitutional limits.
''I also had a discussion with Chief Secretary Shivraj Singh and he denied any such order,'' he said.
As per the news published in a newspaper, the order carried Mr Singh's signature.
Mr Agarwal said that he asked Mr Singh to lodge a complaint in this regard and directed him to inform all the district collectors.
All the 18 districts' collectors had received the order and only Durg district's collector implemented it while the rest suspecting the language of order.
However, sources said that the state many district collectors had already inquired state government about the order last month hence it already came into its congnizance. But no clarification was made by the state government.
The Durg Collector said that only government could state about the authenticity of the order.
