Major fire breaks out in Howrah's Fort William Jute Mill

Howrah, May 03 (UNI) A major fire that broke out at Fort William Jute Mill in the district's Shibpur police station area this evening is still raging strong with ten fire tenders struggling to bring it under control.

The fire broke out here at 1630 hrs, fire brigade sources said.

''Since the fire is still raging strong, we cannot give any figures on loss of property,'' the sources said and added, ''As soon as the fire is brought under control, we will be in a position to give an assessment of the losses.'' UNI XC LL DB1913
