Karnal, May 3 (UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) candidate Ashok Kashyap today filed his nomination papers for the Indri Assembly seat while BJP fielded Swami Raghvanand from Adampur constituency in Haryana.
Mr Kashyap was accompanied by INLD chief Mr Om Parkash Chautala , INLD state president Ashok Arora, HOA president Abhey Singh Chautala, and MP Sardar Tarlochan Singh.
Mr Chautala, while addressing a public meeting on the occasion, charged the state government with misuse of official machinery and gross violation of model code of conduct in the byelections.
In Hisar, Swami Raghvanand, BJP candidate for the Adampur assembly, filed his nomination papers amid blowing of conch shells.
The saffron clad supporters of the Swami came in a procession with him and blew conch shells as the BJP nominee submitted his papers to the Returning Officer here.
Former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has already filed his papers from Adampur, his native constituency, as a candidate of the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) headed by his ex-MP son Kudeep Bishnoi.
