Blistering heat continues in UP
Lucknow, May 3 (UNI) People in Uttar Pradesh were reeling under blistering heat that continues to prevail in the entire state.
However, an appreciable decrease in the day temperature was recorded at Kanpur, Lucknow, Agra and Bareilly divisions.
Varanasi was the hottest with 44 degrees Celsius, whereas Allahabad was at 42.5 degrees, Kanpur 41.4 degrees, Bareilly 41 degrees, Bahraich 40.4 degrees, Gorakhpur 39.9 degrees and Lucknow was at 41.4 degrees.
The Met Department forecast dust storm and thunder showers, accompanied by squall likely at isolated places in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
However, the weather would remain dry in western Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours it added.
