Thiruvananthapuram, May 2: The dawn-to-dusk strike, called by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as part of a nationwide agitation against skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, was total in Kerala.
Except two-wheelers and some private vehicles, all other modes of transport remained off the roads. Private buses were fully withdrawn, adding to the woes of the people in interior parts of the State. Shops and business establishments were closed and thin attendance was reported in Government offices.
No untoward incident was reported from any part of the State, police said.
