New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) A cloud cover over the skyline today continued to bring relief to Delhiites from the scorching heat of the past couple of weeks with the mercury dropping to 41.1 degrees Celsius.
The clouds led to a drop in maximum temperature, from 42.6 degrees C yesterday, to 41.1 degrees C.
Though the clouds led to a rise in minimum temperature to 28 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal, the drop in minimum temperature brought some respite for the people of the city from the heat wave of the last couple of weeks.
The coming days could witness a return to scorching heat with the weathermen forecasting a rise in maximum temperature to 42 degrees C tomorrow.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
