Chennai, May 1: Shipping Minister T R Baalu today said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Petroleum Minister Murli Deora had explained in Parliament that the Prime Minister's Office(PMO) has not issued any order to supply gas to the company owned by his family. Talking to mediapersons here tonight after his arrival from New Delhi at the airport, the minister said since the PMO has already made a statement on the issue, he has nothing else to express his views.

Mr Baalu said the opposition parties were making mountain out of molehill by demanding his resignation on the issue, but their efforts will not succeed, It may be recalled that petroleum ministry had made allocations of 10,000 cubic metres of gas per day to 'Kings India Chemicals Corporation Limited' and 4.5 lakh cubic metres per day to 'Kings India Power Corporation Limited, which was cancelled by the previous Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance(NDA) Government on January 14, 2004.
