London, May 2 : Stars are known to work towards bringing their roles as close to reality as possible, and the latest to join the ranks of such celebrities is sexy Bond girl, Gemma Arterton, who took lessons in milking a cow for her latest screen role.
The 22-year-old star portrays the role of MI6 agent Fields in the 007 flick 'Quantum of Solace' and has even completed her love scene with Daniel Craig.
However, for playing Thomas Hardy's milkmaid Tess of the D'Ubervilles in a BBC costume drama, the actress needed her farmyard skills to be well in order.
Thus the actress chose to take up lessons at a farm near Berkeley, Gloucs, and learned milking techniques on goats and surely impressed her farmer teachers.
"She was a very confident young lady, very down to earth. She just got on with it all. She brought a bit of glamour to the farm, but she'd have a future with livestock if she wasn't in the movies," The Sun quoted farmer Judy King, as saying.
