Mysore, May 1 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa termed the Congress manifesto released today, for the coming Assembly election, an ''election gimmick''.
Speaking to newspersons at the helipad here, Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that the Congress party, which ruled the country and the state for more than 50 years, had failed to keep up its poll promises during its regime. ''People of the state would not yield to such gimmicks during election,'' he added.
He alleged that Congress, Samajawadi Party and Janata Dal (Secular) have come to an understanding to field weak candidates against each other.
