Jamnagar, May 1 (UNI) A city-based transporter has lodged a complaint with the police that his truck, loaded with metal scraps and brass parts worth over Rs 20 lakh and bound for Vadodara, went missing since April 28.
Karsanbhai Kherajbhai Katarmal, in his complaint, stated that truck, bearing No GJ 10U-6498, was laden with copper and iron scrp, fresh brass parts and plastic waste. It left Jamnagar on April 28 to deliver the goods to a party at Vadodara. However, the party had complained to him about the non-receipt of the goods so far.
Value of the goods including the truck is Rs 20,59,000, according to Mr Katarmal.
He held truck driver Ganesh Bahdur Rajput, a resident of Jasodanagar area of Ahmedabad, as the accused.
Udyognagar Police have registered a case against the missing truck driver and have launched a manhunt, sources said.
