Raj Pal Tyagi among 2 inducted as cabinet ministers in UP
Lucknow, May 1 (UNI) In a minor reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh council of ministers, Chief Minister Mayawati today inducted Raj Pal Tyagi and Subhash Pandey as two new cabinet ministers, besides, upgrading as many ministers of state (Independent charge) -- Fateh Bahadur Singh and Ramhit -- to cabinet rank.
Raj Pal Tyagi had recently won the UP Assembly bypoll from Moradnagar constituency.
Governor T V Rajeswar administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new incumbents at a simple ceremony at Rajbhawan this evening.
This was fifth expansion of Bahujan Samaj Party-led Mayawati ministry since she had taken oath as the CM on May 13 last year.
Following today's expansion, the strength of UP council of ministers has risen to 54 that included 31 cabinet ministers, including the CM herself, 15 Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 8 Ministers of the State.
