President's son did not breach protocol : Anand Sharma
New Delhi, May 1 (UNI) The government today denied that President Pratibha Patil's son Rajendra Singh had committed any breach of protocol when he went to the US on a personal visit while he was accompanying his mother on an official visit to Latin America recently.
Minister of State for External Affairs, Anand Sharma, said there was no breach of protocol and the government had prior information of his visit.
Reports said here today that Mr Singh had gone to Miami on a personal visit while he was accompanying the President on her State visit to Latin America recently.
Mexican media had reported Mr Singh not attending the banquet hosted by Mexican President Felipe Calderon on April 17. The Mexican media said it was a breach of protocol since Mr Singh was a member of the Presidential delegation.
