President Patil leaves for Pune

Thiruvananthapuram, May 1: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today left for Pune after concluding her two-day visit to Kerala.

The President was seen off at the airport by Governor R L Bhatia, Speaker K Radhkrishnan, Education Minister M A Baby, Law Minister M Vijayakumar, Kerala Pradesh Congerss Committee president Ramesh Chennithala, among others.

Ms Patil participated in the birth centenary celebrations of former Chief Minister R Shanker today.

Yesterday, she had inaugurated the valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
