Nashik, May 1 (UNI) A state-of-the-art hospital of Nashik District's Maratha Vidhya Prasark Samaj (NDMVSP) at Adgaon here, will be dedicated to people this June.
''We have invited Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar to dedicate the 750-bed hospital to people in the first week of June,'' NDMVSP General Secretary MLC Dr Vasant Pawar told mediapersons, here today.
Dr Pawar was addressing a press conference, after inaugurating ICU and dialysis units in the hospital. The dialysis facility will be made available at a reasonable price of Rs 600 per sitting, he said.
The Medical College hospital, which began in 1990, was shifted to Vasantdada Nagar, Adgaon in 1994. Now its building is ready for the people, Dr Pawar said.
The new building has 12 operation theatres as per World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines, modern trauma care unit, 24-hour emergency service, C T scan facility and blood bank, he said.
''We are providing free treatment to yellow Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders. We also want to collect clinical material for our students, so that they can study and research about various diseases,'' Dr Pawar said.
''We also have body donation facility and till date 30-32 people have donated their bodies,'' he added.
