We can make up for Hayden loss with our bowling say Kings

By Staff

Chennai, Apr 30 (UNI) The unbeaten Chennai Super Kings, who go into their fifth game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Delhi Daredevils here on May 2, expressed confidence that they can make up for the absence of Aussies Mathew Hayden and Mike Hussey and Kiwi Jacob Oram, with their strengthened bowling.

One of the youthful stars in the team, Tamil Nad's all rounder Vidhyut, who addressed the media here today said ''Hayden and Hussey are hard to replace and our batting may appear to be a bit week. But the likes of Makhaya Ntini will be strengthening the bowling.'' ''We will play on the strength of our bowling against the Daredevils'', Vidhyut, who himself is yet to get a game in the IPL XI, opined.

Vidhyut, who is a competent right hand batsman besides being an incisive left arm spinner, said former Kiwi captain Stephen Flemming is as good replacement for Hayden. ''Albie Morkel is a good replacement for Jacob Oram. He is a formidable striker of the ball'', he said.

Chennai Super Kings will go into the match with memories of a great win against Bangalore Royal Challengers from the brink of defeat yesterday.

The Super Kings put in a hard work out at the M A Chidambaram stadium this morning. They would have another work out at the nets tomorrow evening along with the Virender Sehwag led Delhi Daredevils.

Meanwhile, indicating another near full house on May 2 after the great response to the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 26, the sale of tickets is brisk. Already some stands have been sold out fully, according to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).
