Rajasthan Royals will play to maintain the momentum--Warne

By Staff

Jaipur, Apr 30 (UNI) Rajasthan Royals skipper and ace leg spinner Shane Warne has said that his side is a confident lot and will try to maintain the momentum against Kolkata Knight Riders in the tie to be held here at the SMS Stadium tomorrow.

Warne said it would be wrong to call Rajasthan Royals as under dogs as we have already won three off the four matches played so far. We have a good combination in the team with eight forein players and most of our players are in good form, told Warne to the newsmen here.

He said that the final eleven will be announced tomorrow only after considering the strength of our opposition as well as the condition of the field. He was however confident that his players have done very well in the past matches by chasing a victory target of even 218 besides 137.

He praised the performance of opener Graeme Smith, Yusuf Pathan and Shane Watson in particular and added that the middle order consisting of Mohammed Kaif, Ravindra Jadeja, Sohail Tanvir are also strong enough.

Warne who himself had collected 17 runs in the last over bowled by Andrew Symonds to earn a fabulous victory against Dacan Chargers said that we are very much confident now to do well. We suffered a defeat in the very first match against Delhi DareDevils in Delhi but thereafter things have changed as we then recorded three consecutive victories over our rivals- Kings Eleven Punjab, Royal Challengers and Decan Chargers.
