The spokesman said, quoting Northern Load Transmission Centre data, that Uttar Pradesh had over drawn 1,224 lakh units during April and posed a serious threat of Grid frequency disruption.

Similarly, Punjab had over drawn 69 lakh units during the month while Jammu and Kashmir had drawn 326 lakh units in excess.
