Four killed, 32 injured in Jammu
Jammu, Apr 30 (UNI) At least four people were killed and 32 injured in separate road accidents in different parts of this province in Jammu and Kashmir since yesterday, police today said.
Two people were killed on the spot when their scooter was hit by a video coach bus on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur, about 65km from here, last evening. The deceased were identified as Kripal Singh and Sunny, police said.
One person was killed, while another injured seriously when a motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident at Majalta in Udhampur district yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Mani Ram, who succumbed to his injuries at the Military Hospital Udhampur. While the other person, Mangat Singh, was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, in a criticaly state.
Eariler in the day, a head constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police Lehar Singh was killed and four others injured when a light motor vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge near Pul Doda in Doda district.
The victims were immediately taken to the District Hospital there.
Meanwhile, 27 people were injured when a passenger bus skidded off the road and fell down in a gorge at Shalimar, about three km short of its destination Kishtwar town, police said.
