CPI to go for fortnight protest against price-hike from tommorrow
Lucknow, Apr 30 (UNI) Communist Party of India will begin its second phase of agitation against price hike of essential commodities from tomorrow.
The protest will last till May 15 and at least 100 rallies will be called to address the issue.
UP CPI assistant secretary Dr Girish and senior leader Ashok Mishra today said '' we will agitate against the sky-rocketing prices and bring the matter to public through rallies.'' Making scathing attack on the BSP-led UP government and Congress-led UPA government, the CPI leaders said wrong economic policies of the governments are responsible for the prvailing situation.
In order to speed up the protest in UP, the leaders directed the district committees to exert pressure on the state government to distribute food grains among the public at low cost.
