Top Maoist leader surrenders before APHRC chief
Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member MVS Srinivasan today surrendered before Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission (APHRC) Chairman Justice B Subhashan Reddy at his office here.
Speaking to newspersons after surrendering before the HRC Chairman, Srinivasan said, ''I wanted to live with my family, so I gave up extremist ideology.'' Srinivasan, hailing from Medak district, had been serving the Maoist party for the last two decades. He was involved in Maoist activities in North India from 1993 to 2006.
Meanwhile, the Maoist leader, along with his family members, met State Director General of Police (DGP) SSP Yadav at the police headquarters and informed him about his surrender.

with
the
Maoist
leader's
step.
It
would
help
him
to
enjoy
mainstream
life
in
the
future.''
