India thrash Pakistan 3-0 in Junior Davis Cup

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) India continued their good skillful performance to defeat Pakistan 3-0 in the Asia Oceania Junior Davis Cup tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here today.

Saurabh Singh, who gave a powerful performance yesterday against Singapore, wrapped up the first singles 6-1, 6-1 in only 48 minutes against Samir Iftikhar.

World junior number five Yuki Bhambhri defeated Heera Ashiq 6-0, 6-4 in the second singles. He raced through the first set in just 24 minutes.

However, in the second set he committed too many errors and just when Ashiq looked like taking it to a decider, Bhambri recovered in time to take the set and the tie.

In the doubles event, Yuki and Saurabh register an easy win as they defeated Ashiq and Faizan Khurram and won 6-2, 6-0.
