Good Players can adapt to any form of game says Dravid

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Brushing aside the claims that he is suited only for Test cricket, Bangalore Royal Challengers captain Rahul Dravid today said good players can adapt to any form of the game and added his team is ready for tomorrow's tie against Delhi Daredevils.

Talking to mediapersons here at Feroz Shah Kotla Dravid said, ''Some players would adapt well and some would not. But good players do well in every form of the game.'' Dravid, who himself has not played well in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) registering two ducks in the tournament, added those who can not adjust to the Twenty20 format will have to learn it quickly.

''There are youngsters and experienced players as well, but those who can not come good in this form of the game will have to learn quickly because Twenty20 is here to stay,'' he said.

However, Royal Challengers have not played well in the tournament and have managed just one win so far but Dravid feels his team is coming on track and will go for the kill tomorrow against Delhi Daredevils.

''Every match is important from now on and we can not afford to make any more mistakes. We were close to a win yesterday against Chennai but still we can draw a lot of positives from the game.

''We dominated for most part of the match and just could not turn it on when needed. However, it was good that we played well against Chennai which has emerged as the best side in the tournament till now,'' he stated.

The 35-year-old batsman expressed his hopes that the ICC will accomodate the IPL from its next season. The Australian and West Indies players playing in the tournament will leave in a couple of days and most of the sides will be affected with it.

''I am sure that from the next season the Future Tour Programmes (FTP) would not affect the IPL and the ICC will create a window for the league,'' Dravid said.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh's actions against S Sreesanth did not bring any major reaction from the Indian middle-order batsman.

''To be honest, I wasn't following that incident. But I am sure that everyone is matured enough and everything must have happened in the heat of the moment.'' UNI RAR RKM KP2045
