Sonia asks Congress factions to work together in West Bengal
Kolkata, Apr 28 : Congress president Sonia Gandhi today asked all factions of her party in West Bengal to work together and cooperate with West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee (WBPCC) chief Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi.
According to senior party leader Pradip Bhattacharya, Sonia also urged them to reach out to the people, particularly in rural areas, to spread awareness about development programmes undertaken by the UPA Government at the Centre. he said this during a meeting with state Congress leaders at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBI) Airport.
Sonia also asked the leaders to create awareness of the role played by the party in formulating the waiving farmers loan worth Rs 60,000 crore uring her visit, Sonia is scheduled to address public rallies at Murshidabad and Malda.
Sonia is likely to visit the residence of former Malda strongman ABA Ghani Khan Chowdhury at Kolwali to pay respect to the departed leader.
