Bangalore, Apr 28(UNI) Criticising Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for having appealed people of Karnataka to erase Congress party from Indian political scene, Congress party's National General Secretary Mr Hariprasad today said that BJP was on the path of extinction following Modi's poll victory in Gujarat recently.
Addressing newspersons here today Mr Hariprasad, who is also incharge of Congress party in Gujarat, took serious exception to Modi's campaign speech in Mangalore and Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district yesterday, he had appealed people of Karnataka to remove Congress from the political scene.
Stating that the 'writ of BJP' does not hold good in Gujarat and which was adequately demonstrated in the Eastern state. He charged that under the Modi regime law and order situation had worsened and state was pushed to bottom, in terms of education and healthcare.
Strongly criticising state BJP leaders who said they would adopt Gujarat model if the saffron party came to power in Karnataka, he said, "When all other states looking towards to Karnataka to emulate its developmental model State BJP leaders wants to follow Modi's destructive polity." Replying to questions he said that the crisis of dissidence which erupted following the announcement of party nominees to the coming Karnataka assembly elections was blown over, and expressed confidence that party will come back to power on its own strength.
