MindTree joins Power Forward initiative
Bangalore, Apr 28 (UNI) MindTree Ltd, a global IT and R and D Services Company, and the Power Forward Initiative (PFI) today announced that MindTree has joined the PFI to offer a Common Power Format (CPF)-enabled low-power flow to its design services customers.
With the addition of MindTree, the PFI increased its momentum and now had 27 members.
As a design services company, MindTree had adopted the Cadence Design Systems' low-power solution, designed to increase productivity, manage design complexity and shorten time to market.
Low-power design capability was extremely important to the customers, Mr S N Padmanabhan, Senior Vice-President of R and D Services at MindTree, said in a release here.
''A large percentage of designs coming to us are targeted at communications and consumer products requiring low-power implementations. CPF provides the mechanism for clear communication of low-power intent between the customer and MindTree. This helps us deliver high-quality low-power solutions to our customers,'' he said.
