Heat wave claims 3 lives in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Apr 28 (UNI) Intense heat wave in Gujarat has claimed three lives over the last two days.
One person each died in Narmada, Bhavnagar and Rajkot districts.
According to weather bureau, Idar in Sabarkantha district recorded the maximum temperature with the mercury touching 44.4 degrees Celsius. Rajkot recorded 43.6 degrees, whereas Ahmedabad recorded 43.2, Porbandar was 39.5 and Bhuj touched 43 degrees, which were four to five degrees above normal.
With the temperature hovering between 33 and 37 degrees Celsius, South Gujarat had some respite from the scorching heat wave.
