GPL's Q4 net up 108 pc at Rs 130.14 cr

New Delhi, Apr 28: Mumbai-based pharma major Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (GPL) today said its net profit has increased 108 per cent to Rs 130.14 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2008, against Rs 62.56 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The total income has increased 48.68 per cent to Rs 411.90 crore for the quarter ended March 2008 from Rs 277.02 crore in the same period a year ago, a company statement said. The company's net profit increased 188.59 per cent to Rs 389.02 crore for the year ended March 2008, as compared to Rs 134.80 crore for the year ended March 2007.

The total income has increased 72.17 per cent to Rs 1,392.73 crore for the year ended March 2008 from Rs 808.90 crore for the year ended March 2007. The consolidated results of the group increased 252.02 per cent to Rs 218.96 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2008, as compared to Rs 62.20 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The total income has increased 70.48 per cent to Rs 606.79 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2008, from Rs 355.93 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The consolidated results of the group increased 103.58 per cent to Rs 631.25 crore for the year ended March 2008, as compared to Rs 310.06 crore for the year ended March 2007, the statement added.

The total income has increased 64.16 per cent to Rs 2022.90 crore for the year ended March 2008 from Rs 1232.22 crore for the year ended March 2007.
